Milton Keynes Astanga yoga was set up to bring some of the country's most respected yoga teachers to the Milton Keynes area. Astanga Yoga also spelt Ashtanga is a dynamic form of Hatha yoga often called power yoga.

Andreas teaches Ashtanga, fitness yoga and pilates at various centres in and around Milton Keynes, Buckingham and Bicester. Milton Keynes Astanga yoga hosts weekend workshops and retreatsthroughout the year bringing some of the country's most renowned yoga teachers to the MK area.

Although most of the workshops are Astanga based, teachers of other styles of dynamic and flow yoga are also invited to come and teach.

Andreas is an inspiring yoga teacher who believes yoga should be hard but fun. Coming from a martial arts background of kyokushin karate he sees great similarities between the two disciplines. Suffering from muscular tightness after years of quite intense training, He tried yoga and found it was the dynamics of Astanga that started to release the tightness in his body (and mind)

Andreas's practice is greatly influenced by mindful meditation and he has also attained his 1st degree Reiki.

In 2003 Andreas completed the Pathway to Yoga Instructor training at the body mind Studio with Ann-see Yeoh. He has since been on workshops and courses with David Swenson, Mathew Sweeney, John and Lucy Scott, Liz Lark, Richard Adamo, Phillip Xerri, Brian Cooper, Russel case, and recently with Mark Freeth doing his intense introduction to Ashtanga yoga teacher training.

Andreas also studied Pilates at the Pilates Institute in London and with Pilates Training solutions. He is a YMCA graduate and is REP's registered. Registration number R0022775.

Andreas's approach to yoga is fun he believes you are your own teacher and tries to share his experience of yoga so you can find your own and like all great things experiences change daily.
